How can you get your iPad apps back after restoring it?

Question by APERSONWHOSBORED: How can you get your iPad apps back after restoring it?
This issue has been revised so many times and people say you can just buy the app and not get charged for it, but my real question is that I noticed some of my free apps become apps you have to pay. So do you have to buy the apps you had before that were free... Hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem
